Audiences loved the first two YouDance performances held at the Raye Freedman Theatre at the end of May. Both of these shows were sold out.

Highlights of Show One included Wha a dance with a big cast and lots of humour from Mt Albert Grammar, Waiting from Western Springs College about women waiting for the return of their men, Talanoa/Speak from Mt Roskill Grammar about words becoming weapons and Sila from Whagaparoa College about the act of breathing.

Show Two opened with a dance Detailed Care from Manurewa High School that fused contemporary and hip hop dance. Tane Mahuta was an exciting dance about the God of the forest performed by a trio from Rangitoto College and Aorere College delighted the audience with Nga Toa o te Wai, a dance that fused Samoan sasa with contemporary dance.

Show Three Will be performed at Vodafone Events Centre on Thursday 21 June.  For tickets for this event go to here.
